Flying GoPro Hero 3 Black on DJI Phantom Drone 2k Resolution

Test run using a DJI Phantom drone with a GoPro Hero 3 black edition at 2k resolution. This thing is pretty sweet (both the camera and the drone) but you be the judge, check the video out. The drone was set free in Orleans Ontario on a nice sunny, clear day. The GoPro was set to 2k resolution as 24fps cinescope. I noticed the GoPro shoots a little dark but you can easily boost the color and brightness without the video looking any worse. The Phantom did a pretty good job staying in the air. I noticed as soon as some wind picks up so does your heart rate because the wind just blows it away. Although GPS mode is suppose to keep it in one spot strong wind throws it around effortlessly. I went out again (As seen in my GoPro Hero 3 4k resolution video) and keeping it above me was a battle. The wind picked up and it was very difficult keeping the unit around. Worst case scenario the unit is suppose to come back if it loses reception and land but I know just how difficult it is to navigate it in the wind so I wouldn't count on miracles. Overall amazing experience.

Turns out these drone things have these sensors on them to avoid bumping into things. So instead of trying to knock the drone out the way of the kitchen light I should have just left it and all would have been well... You learn something new every day!

Syma X8HG 8MP HD Camera Drone with Altitude Hold Unboxing, Indoor Maiden Flight, and Review

This is the Unboxing, Indoor Maiden Flight, and Review video with my new Syma X8HG HD Camera Drone with Altitude Hold.

This Camera Drone is very similar to my RTF Syma X8C Venture Drone Quadcopter only it looks better and comes with a way better camera. It is also essentially DJI Phantom drone clone.

Here are my review notes for this multirotor beast!

Pros:
- Very stable flight
- Altitude hold works well
- Beautiful dark red color
- High quality 8MP and very light weight HD GoPro like camera
- Anti-vibration camera mount
- 2S battery power
- Excellent lights

Cons:
- Loud brushed motors
- Slow yaw rate

I can't wait to test this one outside! :)

The is quad the biggest in a fairly long line of similar Syma multi-rotormodels. It started with the Syma X5C, then onto the Syma X5C-1, the Syma X5SC-1, and the Syma X8C Venture. Now we have the that has been out of a little while now. Since I love this one so much so far, I may try out the Syma X5SW next. That one has WiFi FPV built into it!

Another that I have reviewed is the brand new Syma X5HW with Real-Time FPV using WiFi FPV sent to my smart phone. They are calling that one The New Drone, like this one They also have the Syma X5HC, which I might get too.

GoPro Hero5 Session on a Race Drone!

Cooler than a GoPro Karma? I think so.

Picked up a new GoPro Hero5 Session on release day and immediately strapped it to my mini quad for some building dives.

For comparison, I also got some clips using my old camera, a GoPro Hero4 Session.

While the upgrade isn't necessarily drastic, I'm very happy with the improvement. Let me know what you think!

Another that I have reviewed is the brand new Syma X5HW with Real-Time FPV using WiFi FPV sent to my smart phone. They are calling that one The New Drone, like this one They also have the Syma X5HC, which I might get too.

GoPro Hero5 Session on a Race Drone!

Cooler than a GoPro Karma? I think so.

Picked up a new GoPro Hero5 Session on release day and immediately strapped it to my mini quad for some building dives.

For comparison, I also got some clips using my old camera, a GoPro Hero4 Session.

While the upgrade isn't necessarily drastic, I'm very happy with the improvement. Let me know what you think!

This Camera Drone is very similar to my RTF Syma X8C Venture Drone Quadcopter only it looks better and comes with a way better camera. It is also essentially DJI Phantom drone clone.
