Pros
- The quadcopter's arms are foldable to make it very portable, such as in a backpack (similar to DJI Mavic Pro).

- Camera lens can be swiveled up (to view sky and horizon), or down (to eliminate props from camera view)

Kid amazes Dad with his drone flying skills
Today my 6 years old little Kid Arish simply amazed me with his Drone Flying Skills. I gave him the new Syma X20 Pocket Drone and I thought I would have to walk him step by step and was expecting many crashes. But Masha Allah, he took off and simply amazed me with his drone piloting skills. Arish has built various drone flight orientations very well including nose in, side in which are the most difficult for many RC Beginners. I am so proud of him and I am hoping that from now on he will take more interest in flying little RC drones and get to FPV Flights soon so we can finally start indoor FPV Races. What I like about this product is that itƒ??s specifically designed for RC drones/planes. Thatƒ??s pretty cool!

This quadcopter uses WiFi with your smartphone to allow real time viewing of in flight video. Yet it still has surprisingly good control and FPV range for a WiFi based FPV flier.
Pro's
- Binds with the X8C controller if you want increased range! And the phone attachment clip fits snugly to the top of the X8C antenna. But the X8C controller does not have an auto-center stick. You'll need to manually do that (not very hard to do).
- Effective altitude hold feature that helps the pilot maintain focus on his/her flying FPV flying, and less on worrrying about impacting the ground.
- Range of both flight control and FPV range seems to be much greater than the advertised 30 to 50m range. I flew well beyond the advertised range through much of the above video, and still maintained video reception and flight control.
- Has headless mode.
- Stable flier, providing relatively smooth aerial video.
- Does not require FAA registration as it weighs less than 250 grams.
Con's
- Proprietary Syma battery connector prevents using third party batteries. But you could change the quadcopter's power connector to a standard mini Losi connector if you wish to use the widely available generic (and cheap) Syma X5C batteries.
- Does not have one key return. However, not a big loss as this feature is not really effective on quadcopters that do have it.
- Photo and video resolution is relatively low at 0.3MP/640x480p. This is an inherent limitation of WiFi FPV fliers.
- Video recording would occasionally stop for no reason. But this could be a fault of my cheap $49 phone.

That way, youƒ??ll have a better understanding of what to look for when it comes time to shop.

Known For: Strength & durability.Flight Time: Approximately 7 minutes.
Estimated Price: $50 (Check latest pricing).
One reason I think that the UDI U818A Quadcopter is one of the best drones for sale is because itƒ??s extremely durable. The tough plastic cover not only protects the droneƒ??s internal hardware, but also the propellers. If youƒ??re a beginner, then this is an excellent model to consider. Why? Because youƒ??re going to crash quite a bit when you first start out. So it would make sense to invest in a model that can effectively withstand these crashes. Here are a few reasons why this is one of the best drones for sale:
- Descent Flight Time: Assuming that thereƒ??s no wind present, you can probably squeeze about 7-8 minutes out of a freshly charged battery with the U818A. Thatƒ??s pretty much on par with similarly priced beginner models on the market (like the Syma X5C or JJRC H8C). Remember that you can extend drone battery life by purchasing extra batteries.

As a beginner, you should be honing your skills on something like the Syma X8C first.This isnƒ??t to say that the Phantom 3 isnƒ??t easy to control, because it definitely is.As for flight time, you definitely wonƒ??t be disappointed- the Phantom 3 can stay in the air for a whopping 25 minutes. And with extra batteries, you can stay in the air for more than an hour! For remote distance, you can control the drone up to a mile away. This video is for the new Syma X5SC-1 Falcon HD Camera Drone Quadcopter. It contains an Unboxing, Maiden Flight, and Review.
It also includes a lot of flight footage both indoors and outdoors from the ground view and that of a UAV or Unmaned Arial Vehicle via its on board HD Camera. This the latest version of the older brother to the Syma X12 Nano Drone RC Quad, which also has 6-axis Gyro. Both do flips as well!
The is the newest in a fairly long line of models. It started with the Syma X5C, then onto the Syma X5C-1, and now with the Syma X5SC-1. Since I love this one so much, I may try out the Syma X5SW next. That one has WiFi FPV built into it!

Dolphins Owner Invests $1 Million in Drone Racing

August 12th, 2015 ƒ?? Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, took a chance with drone racing when he invested a whopping $1 million on the underground sport. Drone racing is exactly what it sounds like- racers wearing FPV (First Person Viewing) goggles race their quadcopters around tracks in speeds of excess of 70 MPH. The first person to cross the finish line is the winner. The FPV goggles allow the flyer to see what the droneƒ??s camera is seeing in real-time. While FPV technology isnƒ??t new, itƒ??s becoming more accessible to everyday hobbyists.
Ross invested the $1 million in the Drone Racing League (click the link to sign up for their newsletter). The league is already in hot pursuit of making the sport as popular as possible. Theyƒ??ve put together a series of ƒ??trial racesƒ? consisting of six pilots to demonstrate the droneƒ??s potential. In the later part of 2015, theyƒ??re expected to hold their first public event, which will include media deals, sponsorships, and ticket sales. Overall, it seems like the league is making tremendous progress towards making the sport mainstream, and thereƒ??s no doubt that Rossƒ??s investment is going to help with that.
What Does Drone Racing Leagueƒ??s CEO Have to Say?
The Drone Racing Leagueƒ??s CEO, Nick Horbaczewski, mentioned in an interview that the sport will likely first appear on the television, followed by making its way into stadiums. He added that drone racing is going to take on the same type of competitiveness and format that you find in NASCAR races, ƒ??To start, we will have competitors using the same drones, but eventually we see teams building drones and having their own pit crewsƒ?.
I donƒ??t know about you, but that sounds pretty cool! In July, the Drone Racing League held their first test run in Yonkers, New York. It took place in an abandoned building, and included six racers. Check out the video below to see it for yourself:
Horbaczewski says that since the industry is so new, and since drones have only been commercially available for about a year, the league is planning on actively recruiting the best pilots in the world. Itƒ??s hard to predict exactly when or if the sport is going to become mainstream, but if I does, Iƒ??ll definitely be buying tickets.
The Drone Racing League Isnƒ??t Alone
The Drone Racing League isnƒ??t the only organization in the world trying to make the sport go mainstream. In fact, earlier in 2015, a two-day event called the ƒ??U.S. National Drone Racing Championshipsƒ? took place in California. It attracted about 120 skilled pilots and offered a whopping $25,000 for the grand prize. Similar (albeit smaller) events have also taken place in the UK, Australia, and even France.
