Best Kids' Drone? | Air Hogs DR1 FPV

An affordable, easy to fly, mini FPV (First Person View) racing drone for kids that works!? Really!? Air Hogs DR1 FPV.

I test both the Air Hogs' DR1 FPV Race Drone (& briefly it's little brother the non FPV - but uber nippy - Micro Race Drone). They are both quicker than you might expect - and a whole lot easier to control than most in this category.

Good Christmas present drone? Yup! Either the DR1 FPV or the cheaper Micro Race Drones will give drone pilots young and old enormous satisfaction on Xmas 2017 / Birthday morning. They are built to last - survived over fifty falls during testing - and are easier than most to control.

The smartphone app on the FPV Racing Drone is excellent and the in-phone recording is a brilliant addition. Interchangeable batteries would be awesome, but you can't expect too much at this price point.
