Successful Astral Travel - A Checklist For Beginners

[ad_1]

Are you wondering why you have not yet succeeded in having an astral travel experience? Since everybody, including you, has the power to astral travel, something must have gone wrong somewhere. Are you practicing regularly? If you are, then the problem might lie in faulty thought patterns, wrong eating habits, and other such factors.

Here is a short checklist to help you prepare yourself better for an astral travel adventure.

1. Have you done any body detoxification lately?

If you haven't, then this might be hindering your astral projection progress. You need to focus on your physical health right away. As soon as you do a body detoxification and purify your body of accumulated toxins, you will find it easier to eliminate unwanted and negative thought patterns from your mind.

2. Is your mind free of anger and hatred?

If it isn't, you will find it difficult to access the spiritual realm via astral travel. First, get rid of all those negative thoughts. Forgive all those who have hurt you. They really did not know what they were doing. You see, people hurt one another and are cruel to one another only because of lack of awareness and understanding. They are just babies in the spiritual world and they need to grow and develop a lot. Just as you can't hate a baby for not walking, you can't hate these people for being cruel and unkind toward you. Practice total forgiveness, understanding, and tolerance. Free your mind of negative thoughts of hatred and anger. This might help you gain progress in your spiritual endeavors.

3. Are you taking non vegetarian food?

If you are, then go vegan and see if this doesn't make a change. Eat light food. Avoid taking any dinners. Since most astral travelling is done during the night hours, you will need to reserve your energies for your spiritual endeavors. You don't want all your energy to be used up in digesting a heavy meal while you sleep and snore blissfully.

4. Do you meditate?

If you don't, you must start immediately. Meditation enhances your power to relax and to focus better, both of which are required in order to astral travel successfully.

5. Do the colors around you make you feel good?

If not, try changing the color schemes around you. Paint your room. Purchase clothes of colors that you love. Colors do have a great role to play in how you think and feel. They can help you achieve greater control over your mind and body.

Make these simple changes in your life and see if things do not get better. You will soon have the first astral travel experience in your life.

Pigeon Nest Boxes - Simple Tips To Give Your Birds A Box They Will Love

[ad_1]

Pigeon nest boxes have come about as a replica of how our pigeons would live in the wild. Domestic pigeons are descendants of the Blue Rock Pigeon; these pigeons normally lived in flocks and nested together in caves and holes in cliff faces. Our modern day pigeons still retain that cave instinct and so we provide modern equivalents for them, in the form of pigeon nest boxes.

The pigeon nest boxes must be roomy and well ventilated, with a lot of light. Unlike most birds, the pigeon doesn't need total isolation when nesting and, in fact, prefers settling down when other pairs are breeding close by. The size of pigeon nest boxes should be proportionate to the breed.

As a guide to the beginner, a box of the following dimensions is ideal for pigeon nest boxes:

The overall length of each box should be around 24 inches, the height 18 inches and the depth about 17 inches. This size of pigeon nest boxes gives enough space for the parent pigeons and their future offspring. If the boxes are built in sections then they can be made a permanent fixture of the loft.

However, if you want to make each of the pigeon nest boxes a separate unit, then you have the added advantage that they can be easily removed for cleaning and fumigation. Also, if you're tight on space, you can remove them and give your birds more room when they're not breeding.

Each of the pigeon nest boxes must be fitted with a suitable front that allows the birds some privacy, as well as allowing you get prevent other birds from entering and interfering with the pairing or the young birds.

It is recommended that you provide a small shelf, about seven or eight inches from the floor of the box, on which to place the nest bowl itself. This gives extra protection to the youngsters when they first leave the nest.

The number of nests in the loft depends on how many pigeons you are keeping. As an absolute minimum, you should have a nest for every pair of mated birds, though two boxes for each mated pair is ideal as this prevents arguments between territorial cocks.

The boxes should be kept closed when not in use, as some old cocks will try to set up an empire of boxes all for themselves! Given the opportunity, these dominant males will claim every box and try to stop any newcomers from using them.

Newly mated pairs should be kept and fed in their boxes for several days before being allowed into the loft. It's best to return them to their nest box by hand each night for a week to ten days afterward, to be certain that they are well established. Allowing pigeons to select their own boxes usually results in a great many fights, broken eggs, and injured youngsters.

Above all, pigeon nest boxes should be comfortable for your pigeons, as the happier they are in them, the happier they will be to lay!

The Truth About Dental Implants

[ad_1]

There are three (not serious) main questions, when you understand that you need a dental implant procedure:

1. How much dental implant cost?

2. What are main dental implant prices?

3. Can I get free dental implant? Actually, dentures implant procedure is one of the most expensive things you can do at dentists office.

In the past, dentists would try to keep or replace teeth with treatments such as root canals, bridges, and fixed or removable dentures. Unfortunately, a significant number of root canal treated teeth fail, bridges require that healthy adjacent teeth be cut down and removable dentures can often be unstable and require the use of sticky adhesives. Dental implants are a solution to these problems, and many of the concerns associated with natural teeth are eliminated, including dental decay.

A Single-Tooth Implant

Single-tooth implants can be used in people who are missing one or more teeth. An tooth implant is surgically placed in an opening that is made by your dentist in the jawbone. After the implant integrates (attaches) to your bone, it acts as a new "root" for the crown that will be replacing your missing tooth. A crown (cap), which is made to look like a natural tooth, is attached to the implant and fills the space left in the mouth by the missing tooth.

For this procedure to work, there must be enough bone in the jaw, and the bone has to be strong enough to hold and support the tooth implant. If there is not enough bone, be may need to be added with a procedure called bone augmentation. In addition, natural teeth and supporting tissues near where the implant will be placed must be in good health.

There are plenty of reasons to replace a missing tooth. A gap between your teeth, if obvious when you smile or speak, is a cosmetic concern.

Depending on their location, some missing teeth may affect your speech. A missing molar might not be noticeable when you talk or smile, but its absence can affect chewing.

When a tooth is missing, the biting force on the remaining teeth begins to change. As the bite changes to compensate for the lost tooth, there is a risk of extra pressure on and discomfort in the jaw joints. If a missing tooth is not replaced, the surrounding teeth can shift. Harmful plaque and tartar can collect in new hard-to-reach places created by the shifting teeth. Over time, this may lead to tooth decay and periodontal disease.

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is one option for replacing a tooth. Implants are manufactured devices that are placed surgically in the upper or lower jaw, where they function as anchors for replacement teeth. Implants are made of titanium and other materials that are compatible with the human body.

An implant-restored tooth consists of several parts.

  • The implant, which is made of titanium, is placed in the upper or lower jawbone.

  • The abutment can be made of titanium, gold or porcelain. It is attached to the implant with a screw. This part connects the implant to the crown.

  • The restoration (the part that looks like a tooth) is a crown, usually made of porcelain fused to a metal alloy (PFM), but also could be an all-metal or all-porcelain crown. The crown is attached either to the abutment or directly to the implant. It can be screwed or cemented onto the abutment. If the crown is screwed to the abutment, the screw hole will be covered with restorative material such as tooth-colored filling material (composite).
An implant looks and feels like a natural tooth. It fits securely when you chew and speak. A single-tooth implant is a free-standing unit and does not involve treatment to the adjacent teeth. With a dental implant, the surrounding teeth can remain untouched if they are healthy, and their strength and integrity may be maintained. The implant can stabilize your bite and help prevent problems with the jaw.

What Happens During the Tooth Implant Procedure?

Treatment generally is a three-part process that takes several months. Your dentist may provide the treatment, or you may be referred to a specialist - such as a periodontist, a prosthodontistor an oral and maxillofacial surgeon - for all or part of the treatment.

In the first step, the dentist surgically places the implant in the jaw, with the top of the implant slightly above the top of the bone. A screw is inserted into the implant to prevent gum tissue and other debris from entering.

The gum then is secured over the implant, where it will remain covered for approximately three to six months while the implant fuses with the bone, a process called "Osseo integration. "There may be some swelling and/or tenderness for a few days after the surgery, so pain medication usually is prescribed to alleviate the discomfort. A diet of soft foods, cold foods and warm soup often is recommended during the healing process.

In the second step, the implant is uncovered and the dentist attaches an extension, called a "post," to the implant. The gum tissue is allowed to heal around the post. Once healing is complete, the implant and post will serve as the foundation for the new tooth.

In the final step, the dentist makes a custom artificial tooth, called a "dental crown," of a size, shape, color and fit that will blend with the other teeth. Once completed, the crown is attached to the implant post.

And now, maybe most important part.

We'll try to answer if dental implants are good choice for you.

  • If you are missing a tooth, or teeth you could be an ideal candidate for implants, especially if your smile reveals missing teeth!
  • If you are uncomfortable with the way your dentures fit. Loose dentures can cause sore gums because of friction or food trapped under the bridgework.
  • Loose teeth from gum disease may need support.
  • Dental implants can give you a new base to support new teeth to function and feel like natural teeth.
In these instances, dental implants can help.

Success and failure rates for dental implant procedure.

Dental implant success is related to operator skill, quality and quantity of the bone available at the site, and also to the patient's oral hygiene. Various studies have found the 5 year success rate of implants to be between 75-95%. Patients who smoke experience significantly poorer success rates.

Failure of a dental implant is usually related to failure to osseointegrate correctly. A dental implant is considered to be a failure if it is lost, mobile or shows peri-implant bone loss of greater than one mm in the first year after implanting and greater than 0.2mm a year after that.

Dental implants are not susceptible to dental caries but they can develop a periodontal condition called peri-implantitis where correct oral hygiene routines have not been followed. Risk of failure is increased in smokers. For this reason implants are frequently placed only after a patient has stopped smoking as the treatment is very expensive. More rarely, an implant may fail because of poor positioning at the time of surgery, or may be overloaded initially causing failure to integrate.

Does it very hurt to have dental implants placed?

The actual procedure to surgically place a dental implant is done under local anesthesia and is generally not at all painful. When the anesthesia wears off about three or four hours later, you might expect some discomfort. The level of discomfort is quite different from patient to patient, but most patients do not have significant problems.

In cases where there is prolonged pain, you should see your dentist right away. Prolonged pain is not a good sign with dental implants and although it does not always mean failure, the cause of the pain should be determined as soon as possible. If an implant is not properly integrating into the adjacent bone or if an infection develops, the implant may have to be removed.

What are the alternatives to implants?

The alternatives to implants are dentures or bridges. On the other hand, you may choose to simply accept the space where a tooth is missing.

A denture usually includes a metal and/or plastic base carrying plastic or porcelain artificial teeth. It is a removable replacement for a few missing teeth (partial denture) or a whole set of teeth (complete dentures). Dentures are very common but they can become loose, making it difficult to eat and speak. One or more implants can be fitted to help support and retain a denture.

A bridge consists of artificial teeth cemented onto adjacent natural teeth. If a fixed bridge were to be used, your dentist would cut down the adjacent teeth (the second molar and the second bicuspid) and fit a three unit fixed bridge over those two teeth.

The missing tooth would be called a pontic and it would be effectively replaced by the three unit bridge. If your dentist were to use an implant with a crown on it, he would place an implant in the site of the original first molar. He could do this immediately or at some date after the first molar was removed. There is no time limit here. The implant will take about 3 months to connect with the bone and then at that time, your dentist can construct a single crown on the implant to replace the missing first molar.

The cost of each one of these procedures varies from office to office, but a three unit fixed bridge costs about the same as an implant and a crown. The actual decision to do one over the other rests with you and your dentist. One technique is not inherently better than the other and each depends upon how you present and your dentist's skills.

How much dental implant cost?

There are no established fees, of course, dental implant procedures can start even from $800 (dental tourism countries) to $4,000 (at top end dentists US), but it can go beyond.

The second period spanned from 1997 to 2001, when Taylor took the club from the renamed Second Division to the Premier League in successive seasons. How to Make a Girl Come Quickly and Effortlessly

[ad_1]

Imagine a sex life where regardless of how long it went for, or how hard you wanted to, you never reached orgasm.

It'd be pretty frustrating, right?

Sadly, that's what about 70% of women go through every single day.

Many men are waking up to the fact that their partner isn't getting the sexual satisfaction she craves, and to their credit, are seeking out a solution to the problem. However, many of you reading this article are probably still unsure of how to give a girl multiple, mind-blowing orgasms that she know she desperately needs.

That's where I come in. In this article, I'm going to show you exactly how you can make your girl come quickly, easily, and effortlessly, using a simple, idiot-proof three-step formula.

Step 1: Build Sexual Tension

With all that goes on in our lives these days, it's easy for us to lose touch with our inherent sexuality. For guys, this usually isn't a big problem - we're so highly sexually charged to begin with, that it doesn't exactly take a lot for it to awaken.

Women, on the other hand, are a whole different story.

As opposed to men, who are generally more sexually charged the longer it's been since they've had sex, women work the opposite way. That is to say, they are at their horniest when they are having regular orgasms.

In order to make a woman orgasm quickly and effortlessly, we have to re-awaken her sexuality. We do this first mentally, then physically. The mental component is called sexual tension.

Building sexual tension, whilst easy when you know how, is a whole subject in and of itself. For the purposes of this article, just understand that it involves getting a girl's mind to be receptive to any sexual advances you make. Ways to do this may include light touching, a certain look, saying certain things, flirting, and much more.

Once you have built a decent amount of sexual tension, you can move on to the next step.

Step 2: Foreplay

Being able to perform powerful, arousing foreplay is one of the best skills a man can have in the bedroom.

If sexual tension is the key to awakening a woman's mental sexuality, foreplay is the key to re-aquainting her body with her sexual side. Again, there really isn't enough room in this article to be able to reveal the secrets to amazing foreplay, but essentially it revolves around "firing up" her nerves and putting her body in a highly sexually charged state.

Step 3: Direct Sexual Stimulation

If you have built sexual tension correctly, and have given your girl amazing foreplay, she's 90% of the way to having amazing, powerful orgasms already.

Having said that, obviously the actual physical stimulation is still extremely vital in making her come.

Again, unfortunately, there just isn't room in this article to give a thorough and in-depth explanation of how to use the clitoris, G-spot, and vaginal nerve endings in order to satisfy a woman's sexual cravings. We don't have the space to get into a discussion of primary and secondary stimulation, or the multitude of "hot spots" that are part of the female body, or how to use mental stimulation in tandem with physical stimulation in order to give her powerful, mind-blowing orgasms.

What you have just read is the basic skeletal outline of everything you need to know in order to make a girl come quickly and effortlessly. If you apply this roadmap, there is no doubt in my mind that your girl will have the most powerful orgasms of her life.

Tips to Make the Metal Watch Band Comfortable For You

[ad_1]

There are a lot of watches that have metal bands. A lot of people believe that metal bands are practical because they last longer than other bands. But one common complaint that metal band users always say is that it can become uncomfortable at times. There some parts that can cause discomfort when squeezed and rubbed against their skin. There are some tips that you can do for you to keep your metal band watch comfortable to wear.

ADJUST THE FIT

One important thing that you can do is to adjust the fit of the band. Try to make sure that the size is appropriate for the size of your wrist. You have to know that when the band is too loose, it can squeeze your skin and cause discomfort and if it is too tight, it can impede the circulation in the area. Make sure that it fits you well.

STRETCHY BAND

There are a lot of watches that have stretchy bands. If you have a watch that has stretchy band, make sure that you wear it comfortably. Try to stretch the band as much as you can using your other hand and release it slowly and gently on your wrist to avoid any discomfort after.

CONSIDER THE HAIR IN YOUR ARM

If the watch in your hand causes discomfort due to the hair being pulled, try to consider removing it. You have to know that some hair strands may enter the segments of the band. This can cause discomfort when pulled. You can remove the hair in the area through waxing or any method that you know.

EXAMINE THE BAND

Try to examine the band thoroughly. Make sure that it has no rough areas that can cause discomfort in your arm. If you find any rough area, try to make it smooth. You can use metal file or sand paper. This will make the area smooth and comfortable.

USE AN INSIDE LINING

One good method that you can possibly do is to use an inside lining. Try to cut a leather and match it to the shape of the band. Make sure that it will not be wider than the band. Attach the lining inside the band using a jewelry glue.

Watch is indeed useful and functional for your everyday life. If you have a metal watch, try to make sure that it is comfortable to wear. There are some ways that you can do to make it comfortable and cool to wear.

Riddles and Brain Teasers Can Boost Your IQ

[ad_1]

The simple act of spending a few minutes each day doing something that stimulates your brain can help maintain mental quickness. Riddles, which force you to think in non-traditional ways, are a good way to help keep up your mental fitness.

Riddles are a form of brain teaser where the answer to the question is not always readily apparent. Riddles have been around since ancient times as a way of testing and comparing wit and of keeping people in suspense. An example riddle would be this: "What type of animal keeps the best time?"

The question is a bit misleading at first (and therefore it makes a good riddle!) because when asked, most people would probably start thinking about different types of animals and whether or not they would be able to keep time. They might think "hmm... cats? Monkeys? Snakes? Fish?" as they go through a large list of animals, and then they will probably realize that none of those animals are able to actually keep time, hence the riddle requires a different approach.

The answer to this riddle is "a watchdog!" Get it? The question wasn't meant to be taken literally, as most people would've initially interpreted it, because the answer is simply a play on words. Watches are used to keep time, so a watchdog is the animal that keeps the best time.

Studies have shown that people who spend a few minutes each day trying to solve riddles or other brain teasers score better on IQ tests over time and into old age because forcing the brain to work in this way causes it to stay "fresh" by maintaining efficiency within the synapses.

Some people who take the train to work every morning will do a few riddles during their ride as they prepare for work. And some companies email a few riddles to their employees every morning, as well to help "warm up" employees' brains.

Introduction to Content Security for Beginners

[ad_1]

Browsers: What do they have in common (except maybe for being the "internet button")? They can not distinguish malicious content from benign. As this flaw had to be tackled, content security was introduced.

What causes content to become malicious?

Much of this malicious content can either be cross-site scripting (XSS) or clickjacking. Clickjacking, as the term suggests, is a form of hiding a hyperlink in another website's clickable content. This way, the user is lured to actions he is unaware of, makes clicks he never intended and potentially reveals valuable or even confidential information to the attacker.

Cross-site scripting on the other hand, can prove a lot more dangerous as it accounts for 84% of security issues. Cross-site scripting falls into the category of code injection, as the malicious person embeds content in the website and accesses all information under the umbrella of the legitimate site.

These two institute the most common attackers of a website bypassing the same origin policy. This policy is an important security aspect of the web world, as its mechanism is that it links two web pages only if they share the same origin. In practice, that means that if someone injects malicious content in one web page it can not access another page's information.

What can I do as a beginner?

This model ensures data confidentiality as the website owner provides secure, trusted, and whitelisted sources of content and covers a wide array of types such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, images, audio files, and many others. The Content Security Policy standard allows owners to predefine the content of their website whether it 'd be inline scripts, or resources. Each page can have a standard security policy in order to minimize the damage in such cases where an attacker has already infected malicious content. For example, there are many ways the owner can specify which content is safe and which one can load in each page without problems. The most usual among those are:

1) Trust only scripts from the same source via HTTPS

2) Images loaded should come from a particular CDN

3) Frames or inline scripts should not be allowed

4) Only allow fonts from Google Fonts

Content security policy standard was first introduced in 2004 and has evolved accordingly ever since, with the majority of browsers complying with it. It is a "must-have" tool particularly for online businesses that implement user accounts such as e-shops, banks or social media.

Feeling Adventurous?

[ad_1]

There are all kinds of ways to seek thrill and adventure in life. Some do it in the traditional way of roller coaster rides and hot air balloon flights, while others do it in more meanful ways, like telling someone they love them, or picking up and moving to an unknown land.

The thrill: roller coaster ride; The risk: losing your lunch!

Amusement parks are a great way to spend a summer's day. Some believe that amusement parks are just for kids but I beg to differ. They are fun at every age and stage of life. You get to experience all aspects of life, the ups, the downs, the twists and turns. There is little risk when it comes to roller coaster rides. They are generally tested and very safe. Just make sure not to eat or drink too much before hand!

The thrill: hot air balloon ride; The risk: enjoying yourself too much

Hot air balloon rides are a safe way to enjoy a bit of thrill and a lot of beauty. Best to go up on a clear day when you can profit from the stunning views that surround you. Float through the skies in a basket with the ground benefit you and the heavens above. There is not any risk involved in hot air ballooning. A pilot will take you up and take care of everything for you, all you have to do is enjoy.

The thrill: telling someone you love them; The risk: having your heart broken

Unlike roller coaster or hot air balloon rides, there is a risk when you tell someone you love them. Admitting how you feel to someone you care about can be an amazing thing. For starters you're being honest and that's always a good thing. Then of course if the feeling is reciprocated there could not be anything better. Of course there is always the risk that they will not say it back and then you'll just have your heart out and are left with nothing other than the gutted feeling of vulnerability, rejection and disappointment.

The thrill: moving to a foreign land; The risk: not liking it

A little bit like telling someone you love them, moving somewhere you do not know well is risky. There is always the possibility that you may not like it, have difficulty getting accustomed to their way of life or language or have trouble making friends and settling down. Of course there is always the chance that you will fall in love with a new place, a new people and a new life.

No matter what the risks involved are, taking a leap of faith matures you in a way that few things can. Go for it, brave the unknown and trust that it will embrace you.

Here Is What You Need To Know About Youth Basketball Drills

[ad_1]

The sport of basketball can be quite a wonderful thing for any young person to experience. Now that I think about it, the game of basketball can be beneficial to older individuals to experience too. In all honesty, no matter what age, anyone can savor the game of basketball. However, it is necessary for virtually any participating basketball player to improve their level of skill.

This article will concentrate on youth basketball drills as a method to improve the level of play for the participants.

Youth Basketball Drills Number One: Passing

Although some experts may differ on this subject, our opinion is that passing is the most crucial skill to learn. The teams that succeed at the highest level are those who have at least one or two ballplayers who are remarkably good at passing. Despite the fact that the long, 3 point shot or the dramatic dunk is what makes the highlight reels, the pass that preceded these plays are far more important. The fact is, the better a player is at passing, the more valuable he will be in the eyes of his coach.

Youth Basketball Drills Number Two: Dribbling

Each and every participant on the basketball court needs at least a minimum quantity of dribbling skill in order to compete. However, it is especially important for backcourt players to become skillful dribblers. It is advisable to concentrate these backcourt players to dribble with either hand, and using their fingertips rather than their palms. It ought to be stated to the young basketball player that lots of NBA stars had to develop their offhand dribbling by training after hours. Many of them would take a basketball home and dribble with their opposite hand for hours at a time.

Youth Basketball Drills Number Three: Shooting

As mentioned previously, the spectacular shots from beyond 3 point range tends to make the highlight film. Nevertheless, the young players should certainly be concentrating on shots from significantly closer in. It is advisable to start with layup drills. Training players to leap off their left foot (or inside foot) while they throw the ball to the back board is a vital skill to develop. Once the layup becomes 2nd nature, then you're ready to shift the drills farther away. Free throws are one more important part of basketball, and each and every player should be practicing them on a regular basis.

Conclusion:

Every kid should get the chance to experience the sport of his / her choosing. It is a fantastic experience that teaches teamwork and other values which are central for accomplishment in later life. Youth basketball drills specifically assist the young basketball player to more completely develop their potential.

All About Heelys for Girls

[ad_1]

Has your daughter, who is a pre-teen, just informed you she wants a pair of Heelys for girls and you have no idea what they are? Heelys are a sneaker-like shoe with a twist; they have a wheel embedded in the back sole of the shoe that is easily removable.

Heelys are targeted at pre-teens with an average age of 9 to 10 years of age and the way they make them "skate" is by shifting their weight to their heels, which is called "heeling." They can also walk on the shoes, but unless they remove the wheels, they are not very comfortable to walk in.
Are Heelys Dangerous?

At first glance, you might think that the Heelys for girls are not safe because after all, a wheel in a shoe sounds like a recipe for disaster. However, the wheel is only in the heel not in the top or toe area of the shoe, which means there is less risks to a child altogether losing control especially if you have helped them learn the best ways in which to use their Heelys.

Furthermore, Heelys are not ever dangerous than a skateboards or scooters, but kids are kids and accidents do happen. There are ways you can help to keep your child safe when they are wearing their Heelys. Typically speaking, Heelys for girls are a bit safer than for boys since girls are not as likely to be dare-devils like boys are, but of course, anything that rolls has potential risks for injuries.

Making Sure Accidents do Not Happen
If you decide to make your pre-teen happy and purchase a pair of Heelys for girls, there are several things you can do to ensure her safety. Firstly, she probably has not had any practice "heeling" therefore, you need to be with her when she first puts them on. In addition, you should make sure she has a helmet, elbow pads, kneepads, and wrists guards. This is what the manufacturer recommends even though you will see many children heeling without any protection. One of the reasons many children and even parents ignore the safety gear is the Heelys look harmless; in other words, they look just like a pair of fashionable sneakers.

Staggering Feet When Heeling
After you have purchased the Heelys for girls, you will want to make sure your daughter understands how they work. This means that they need to learn to stagger their feet one in front of the other because if she keeps both of her feet together, there is little doubt she will fall. This takes practice just as if they were learning to ride a skateboard, but in time, she will get the hang of it and be able to stagger while heeling with little issues.

Be Aware that Heelys are Banned in Certain Areas
Many public places now parked heeling and if your child shows up in a pair of Heelys, she will have to remove the wheels. Many places that now ban Heelys are schools, museums, library, and halls, to name a few. If your child is wearing a pair of Heelys, it is best to remove the wheels before entering the promises.

Horse Training for Beginners

[ad_1]

If you are new to horses and riding, the idea of actually training a horse can seem rather intimidating. Horses are big, have minds of their own, and can at times seem very unpredictable. However, if you are willing to take the time to learn about how horses think and behave, you can train your horse through many issues in a way that is safe for you and the horse. The one warning that I will give here is that there are some behavioral issues that take experience and skill to work through, but the only way to get that experience is to start slow, start working through things and always be aware of your horse and what he is telling you.

Start By Watching

If you are new to horse training, the first step is to start watching horses in the field and as others are working with them. Get used to reading the language of the horse, what does it mean when the horse swishes his tail, or when he raises his head and tightens his ears? Learning to recognize and translate the horse's body language is the number one part of being successful at training and, more importantly, keeping yourself safe. You need to know when the horse is not paying attention and needs a wake-up, or when the horse is being pushed to hard and is starting to get defensive by preparing to kick or bite. Is the horse defiant and aggressive, or is he just scared? I can't say it enough? reading the horse is the key to training and the key to not getting hurt in the process of training. You cannot learn to read a horse by looking at pictures or reading books, you have to go out and watch real horses and be aware of what they are doing and feeling. You have to get inside the head of the horse. This is a skill that takes a lifetime to master, but start now and you may be surprised how quickly you will begin picking things up.

Basics of Training

There are two ways to train, and this applies not just to horses, but to ourselves as well. You can train with positive reinforcement, so that the horse is working towards a reward. Or you can train with negative reinforcement, so that the horse is working to avoid something. Most good horse training involves a combination of the two. Food can be used for positive reinforcement, but for horses, rest, comfort, and safety can be positive reinforcers as well. This is where having a relationship and a connection with the horse you are training will make the training easier and more effective. A relationship can mean simply that the horse trusts you because you behave consistently and the horse can see you as a companion, not someone to be feared.

Horses learn to respond to cues, just like dogs and even people. For example, most riders, when they want the horse to move forward, squeeze with their lower legs. This is a cue, the trained horse will respond by moving forward. A cue can be anything, the physical pressure from our heel or hand, a spoken word, or a non-physical pressure applied with our eyes and body language. The cue itself really doesn't matter, as long as it is consistent. Most horsemen use some kind of pressure, whether physical or non-physical. So you apply the cue, the horse begins to move to find the right answer to get rid of the pressure. When he finds the right answer, we release the pressure and give him a reward, which can be patting and praise or a food reward if appropriate. For example, we point the lead rope and the horses nose towards the trailer and tap him on the hindquarters with a stick, these are two cues asking him to move forward. He may fidget side to side, or move backwards, but will eventually take a step forward. This is the response we wanted so we immediately drop the pressure and praise him. The praise is positive reinforcement, which we discussed in the previous paragraph. You should also give the horse a rest period, even if its short, after he gets a difficult training concept, to further establish the behavior.

The kind of training that you want to recognize and stay away from is where the horse is solely motivated to behave a certain way to avoid pain. This may be that he goes forward quickly because he knows he will get spurs in his side or a whip if he doesn't. While difficult to discern, horses that have been trained solely through pain may behave nicely but they are mentally shut down and display little personality, curiosity, or affection. You want your horse to enjoy training, just as the family dog jumps to his feet when the leash is pulled out.

Shaping Behaviors

Behaviors will not happen perfectly the first time. Training a horse to behave a certain way or to perform a specific movement takes time and the action must be shaped until it is performed just as you want it. For example, when training a horse to perform a flying lead change, the rider commonly starts with asking the horse to perform a simple lead change with maybe 10 steps of trotting. This is at first rewarded, and over time the trainer becomes more specific, asking for fewer and fewer trot steps until eventually the horse just performs a flying change without the additional steps. Obviously there are a few other skills that the horse has mastered to perform this flying change, but the basic principle is the same, the trainer shapes the movement to his liking. Another example could be correcting a horse that is pushy on the ground. The first step is to begin asking the horse to move his shoulders away. At first this will consist of physical pressure on the lead rope and with the trainer's hand pushing on the shoulder. When the horse moves his shoulders away from the trainer, he is rewarded. After several repetitions, the trainer will ask the horse to move from just pressure with the lead rope. Again, the horse will be rewarded when he responds correctly. Finally, the trainer will ask the horse to move just by applying the pressure through body language and the horse moves. If the horse is asked to move away with body language only the first time, he is not likely to respond, but after the consistent increases in pressure, he learns what behavior is expected, learns how to do it more correctly and so learns efficiently without undue stress.

Is your Horse in the Right State of Mind for Training?

For training to be effective, the horse must be in a good state of mind. If he is scared or distressed, the training will not go very far. The best training takes place when the horse is calm, content, and curious. When the horse comes out of this state, the trainer needs to find a way to redirect and refocus his attention. If the horse becomes fearful due to a training object, such as a whip or stick, then back off and spend some time desensitizing until the horse is more relaxed again. If the distraction is something else (maybe another horse is running in a field close by) then look for a way to get the horses attention back on you. You could keep your horse moving, or ask for simple exercises that you are confident your horse can perform. If something that you did scared the horse, or if he is getting frustrated with the training, then stop and spend some time rubbing him or just walking leisurely until he relaxes and you can go back to the training, starting with another simple exercises using plenty of rewards to make the session fun again. Do not waste your time working with a horse that is extremely stressed or excited. The horse will not be able to focus on your training, and you are sure to get frustrated.

This same concept applies to you as well - if you are frustrated after a day at work, or just feel yourself losing patience with your horse - stop! It is better to pick up the training again on another day then to push past your own mental limits and possibly do something that you will later regret and that will set your training back.

Always Have Boogers? Main Causes and Reasons Why!

[ad_1]

Boogers are a fact of life; they come into the world with you and typically show up from time to time. For some people that time to time is more like hour to hour. To understand what you can do about boogers you have to understand what causes them and what they are.

What is a Booger?

A booger is the hardened mucus that coats your nose and throat. The point of mucus is to protect you from the dust, dirt and debris that are breathed in. The mucus traps all the debris that you breathe in through your nose and surrounds it so it does not get into your nose. The mucus hardens around the debris and it becomes a booger.

What Causes Excessive Boogers

If you always have boogers than it is very likely that you are breathing in something that you are allergic to. The mucus looks at the speck of whatever it is that you are breathing as a potential health liability, more mucus is formed by your body to protect from the intruder. When you always have boogers than your body is doing its job, if you are an allergy sufferer.

Colds and Infections

You will also produce a large number of boogers when you have a cold or any kind of infection in your sinuses. You will always have boogers if you do not get rid of your sinus infection or are exposed to allergens regularly.

Dehydration

Mucus needs fluids to function properly, if you do not hydrate yourself regularly than you will always have boogers. The mucus in your nose will dry up and leave you feeling crusty.

If you always have boogers and can not figure out the cause you may want to consider allergy tests.

HIT Training Frequency

[ad_1]

One often-misunderstood ingredient in a bodybuilder's training program is the correct dosage of exercise needed for optimal muscle growth. In other words, the question of number of sets and reps and how often to train. The temptation is to follow the belief that more is better... if "x" amount of sets and reps are working, then more will work better-right? The goal should be to find the optimum amount of training needed to elicit the best results in both muscle growth and conditioning.

There are two points to consider, the first is the frequency of training for an individual muscle group and the overall rate of training and the effect that it has on the CNS, the central nervous system.

If your program is based on the high volume approach, and you are a natural bodybuilder, a small muscle group such as the arms should be trained hard once per week, with a more moderate session several days apart. This is due to the fact that your arms are involved in training every upper body part and receive a lot of work as a result. Larger muscle groups such as the chest, legs and back can handle a much more rigorous workload due to their size. Therefore, they can be trained pretty hard twice per week with the high volume approach.

When using a HIT, high intensity protocol, which is the type of training I specialize in, we must shift gears substantially. This method trains muscles with maximum intensity most of the time. About the only time it doesn't is during intensity cycling, a period when sub-failure training is used to confuse the body to make the maximum intensity efforts more effective.

There are several stages of training, beginning, intermediate and advanced. During the beginning stage, small muscle groups such as arms are trained with 3-4 total sets and large groups such as chest, legs and back are trained using 4-5 total sets with sub-failure training. At this stage, it is more important to learn proper form in all of the exercises and not worry about making gains.

As soon as the exercises are mastered one moves into the intermediate stage where the set count is reduced to 2-3 sets for small groups and 3-4 sets for large groups. The number of sets used depends on the ability of the trainee to generate maximum intensity. It is best to train harder with fewer sets. All sets are taken to the point of momentary muscular failure, that is until no more full reps can be completed. In all exercises use smooth form with no momentum.

After training for 4-6 months, one progresses to the advanced program. Small muscle groups are trained with 1-2 sets while large muscle groups are trained using 2-3 sets total.

All sets should be taken to the point of momentary muscular failure. After that a high intensity variable such as forced reps should be used every other set to push the effort past failure.

Now that we have established the outline for progression in HIT, we will focus on the proper frequency of training. Since HIT taxes the muscles and central nervous system so much, it is often necessary to reduce the number of times that each muscle group is trained.

A trainee's recuperation level must be taken into consideration as each person's body has it's own capacity for work. A lot depends on an individual's conditioning and the intensity of effort put forth during training. Some trial and error will have to take place, but the overall guidelines are to train each body part once every seven to ten days.

After resting your muscles for seven days, attempt another session. If you are dragging a bit or the weights used during your exercises have dropped try adding an extra 2-3 days between workouts. Since you will be training each group once every 7-10 days, your body should be able to recuperate fully. Depending on your training split, the entire body should be trained in 2-3 sessions over the 7-10 days. This is enough to keep your conditioning high and your muscles growing both larger and stronger.

Now, let's look at some sample training programs. The first one is a great leg program.

Leg extensions, 1 set of 15-20 reps to failure

Without rest, jump into the leg press machine and do:

Leg presses, 1 set of 12 reps to failure

Negative-only leg press. Load the weight approximately 40% heavier than you normally use in this exercise. Using the assistance of a partner, or your own arms, press the plate to the point of full extension. Using your left leg only, lower the plate down to the start position. Repeat this with your right leg and keep alternating legs until you can no longer control the downward motion of the machine safely.

The following is a great arm routine:

Incline dumbbell curls, 1 set of 8-10 reps to failure

With no rest, grab a pair of dumbbells for the following exercise:

Standing dumbbell curls negative-only, 1 set of 8 negative reps until unable to control the downward movement. Use a set of 'bells heavy enough to allow you to get a maximum of 8 negatives. Have a partner lift the weights for you or cheat them up, then lower them to a count of 8, repeat.

Triceps cable press-downs,1 set of 8-10 reps to failure.

Make sure to keep your elbows against your sides throughout the exercise to keep the tension on your Triceps.

Close-grip bench presses,1 set of 10 reps to failure. After completing the 10 reps, have your partner give you just enough assistance to enable you to complete an additional 3-4 reps. These are forced reps and give you the capability to take your set past the point of normal failure which is a great way to hammer your Triceps to new growth!

Seated barbell or dumbbell wrist curls, 1 set of 12-15 reps to failure, followed by 1 set of reverse wrist curls, 12-15 reps.

You should get a real burn in your forearms after completing these two sets.

These training routines are a great example of productive HIT programs and give an example of a typical outline for a large muscle group and one for a small one. Other large muscle groups are chest and back. They should follow similar routines to what you did for your legs, just insert the appropriate exercises for each. Abdominals, lower back, traps and neck are examples of small muscle groups and should have routines that are similar in structure to the arm program.

Planned training layoffs

After you have been training for months, it is a great idea to take a break from training to allow your body to completely recuperate from the intense training. Many bodybuilders will tell you that you will lose strength and size, but in most cases you won't. In fact, most if not everyone will gain some size and strength after a 1-2 week layoff. This is because many people are over training and need to rest their muscles so they have a chance to grow and recuperate. Another by-product is your body will no longer be used to the intense training and will begin to respond very positively once you resume training.

Your body is very efficient at adapting to stresses placed on it and quickly gets used to training at maximum intensity. By resting for a short time from your workouts, you disrupt the status quo and your body quickly adapts to your lack of training. Resting also allows your muscles to completely rebuild and reload with glycogen, creatine and other energy boosters.

After the layoff, when you resume hard training, your body will no longer be used to training and you will begin to make gains again, such as you had when you first began training.

Alteration of volume and intensity

As mentioned before, your body quickly becomes accustomed to high training intensity, usually in 4-6 months of steady training. When this happens gains in muscle size and strength will cease or at least slow considerably.

To restart gains, we must lower the intensity by taking our sets to the point of sub-failure-in other words- end our sets one rep prior to momentary muscular failure. We will also need to slightly increase our set count to reflect the lower intensity of effort.

A sample arm workout is as follows:

Dumbbell Curls-1 set of 8 reps

Supersetted with

Dumbbell Concentration Curls-1 set of 12 reps

Do two complete super-sets

Lying Barbell Triceps Extensions-1 set of 10 reps

Supersetted with

Cable Triceps Kickbacks-1 set of 8 reps

Do two complete super-sets

Do both super-sets with no rest between exercises and carry them to one rep before muscular failure.

Continue training your arms with this program for 3-4 weeks then cycle them back to maximum intensity by carrying the sets to failure.

In future articles, I will go into more detail on how to properly cycle intensity to stimulate new muscle growth after hitting a sticking point or plateau. Until then, continue hitting the iron!

Jewelry Making Kit Ideas for Kids

[ad_1]

These jewelry making kit ideas include projects for both girls and boys. You might consider creating and selling kits like these as a business, or giving them as gifts, or using them to offer beading parties for kids.

Popular Projects for a Teen / Kids Jewelry Making Kit

Children and teens love to make and wear jewelry. And a trendy jewelry project with a cool name can make a lot of sales!

These are some popular jewelry projects for kids of all ages to make. They are great designs to teach at a jewelry workshop or beading party, or to offer as kits.

1) Friendship Bracelet - for boys or girls. This has been a hot jewelry item for the past several years, with no sign of declining. Nice made with either "natural" beads, or colorful glass / plastic ones, and strung on leather or hemp cord.

2) Friendship Anklet - similar to the bracelet above, except made ankle-size. (Less likely to be worn by boys.)

3) Surfer Dude / Surfer Chick Necklace - for boys or girls. A rustic choker-length necklace featuring a few beads and sometimes a small pendant. You can offer a variety of rugged, "natural" beads like clay, bone, horn, wood, recycled glass, etc. The beads and pendant are strung onto leather cord or rubber tubing, fastened with either sliding leather knots or a basemetal clasp. This is an especially popular teen / older kids jewelry making kit.

4) Princess Bracelet - an extremely popular jewelry making kit for girls. Possible components: large-hole beads to string on a pretty ribbon that ties onto the princess' wrist with a bow; beads to string on heavy-duty stretch cord; beads to string on beading wire and fastened with a basemetal toggle clasp. Pink and purple are a must in these designs.

5) Dragon-Bone Necklace - a popular jewelry making kit for boys. Simply provide a variety of bone beads and a few interesting spacer beads to string on leather cord and fasten off with sliding, adjustable knots.

6) Magic Bracelet - for boys or girls. An assortment of small magnetic hematite beads in a variety of shapes makes an endlessly fascinating toy as well as a piece of jewelry.

Tips for Creating a Jewelry Making Kit

Many of the commercially-made jewelry kits are disappointingly junky. They have a skimpy assortment of cheap components, flimsy tools, and poorly written instructions - packaged in a deceptively large box. It's very easy to create something that's vastly better than these!

When I create a jewelry making kit for workshops or for sale, I put myself in the customer's shoes - what would be exciting to find in the kit? Here's an example of how I created some bead bracelet kits:

Each kit contained beads in a popular color scheme, with some nice contrasting accent beads and at least one cool focal bead. I included an inspiring mix of bead colors, shapes, etc., and used a beadboard to measure how many inches of beads I was putting into each kit.

Then I tossed in a few extra inches of beads, so the recipient would have a good selection to design with, plus some leftover beads for other projects. I added a coil of leather stringing cord (cut a few inches longer than even the largest wrist would need), and instructions for good design, a comfortable fit, and making sliding knots.

I packaged it all in a transparent jewelry zip-close bag, stapled my product card to the top - and had a nice jewelry making kit.

History of Baking

[ad_1]

Baking has been many cultures' favorite technique for creating snacks, desserts, and accompaniments to meals for many years. Now, it is very well-known as the method for creating sweets and all sorts of wondrous mouthwatering pastries. In ancient history, the first evidence of baking occurred when humans took wild grass grains, soaked it in water, and mixed everything together, mashing it into a kind of broth-like paste. Then, the paste was cooked by pouring it onto a flat, hot rock, resulting in a bread-like substance. Later, this paste was roasted on hot embers, which made bread-making easier, as it could now be made anytime fire was created. Around 2500 B.C., records show that the Egyptians already had bread, and may have actually learned the process from the Babylonians. The Greek Aristophanes, around 400 B.C., also recorded information that showed that tortes with patterns and honey flans existed in Greek cuisine. Dispyrus was also created by the Greeks around that time and widely popular; was a donut-like bread made from flour and honey and shaped in a ring; soaked in wine, it was eaten when hot.

In the Roman Empire, baking flourished widely. In about 300 B.C., the pastry cook became an occupation for Romans (known as the pastillarium). This became a very highly respected profession because pastries were considered decadent, and Romans loved festivity and celebration. Thus, pastries were often cooked especially for large banquets, and any pastry cook who could invent new types of tasty treats, unseen at any other banquet, was highly prized. Around 1 A.D., there were more than three hundred pastry chefs in Rome alone, and Cato wrote about how they created all sorts of diverse foods, and flourished because of those foods. Cato speaks of an enormous amount of breads; included amongst these are the libum (sacrificial cakes made with flour), placenta (groats and cress), spira (our modern day flour pretzels), scibilata (tortes), savaillum (sweet cake), and globus apherica (fritters). A great selection of these, with many different variations, different ingredients, and varied patterns, were often found at banquets and dining halls. To bake bread, the Romans used an oven with its own chimney and had grain mills to grind grain into flour.

Eventually, because of Rome, the art of baking became widely known throughout Europe, and eventually spread to the eastern parts of Asia. Bakers often baked goods at home and then sold them in the streets-children loved their goods. In fact, this scene was so common that Rembrandt illustrated a work that depicted a pastry chef selling pancakes in the streets of Germany, and young children surrounding him, clamoring to get a sample. In London, pastry chef sold their goods in handcarts, which were very convenient shops on wheels. This way, they developed a system of "delivery" baked goods to people's households, and the demand for baked goods increased greatly as a result. Finally, in Paris, the first open-air café of baked goods was developed, and baking became an established art throughout the entire world.

Guidelines For Kids' TV and Computer Games - How Much is Enough?

[ad_1]

Sometimes when life becomes hectic it can be tempting to parent through the path of least resistance. One of the "easiest" paths is allowing our kids to turn on the Television, put on a DVD, or play with a computer.

Unfortunately these "paths of least resistance" often become draining and disempowering for both parents and children. While initially there's a sense of relief of not having to engage and think - over a period of time we lose energy from a member of our family not being engaged with their home and life.

The opposite can be true when we stand firm and invite our kids to engage with life and creativity - instead of disappearing into "the box". Initially, there's effort required on both the part of the parent and child, while the child gets in touch with their inspiration. However, once engaged in a project - creates it's own momentum, and on completion gives a cause for celebration.

If you'd like to discover your child's idea schedule around TV and computers, as well as how best to implement this schedule answer the following questions:

1) How much does your child currently spend in front of the TV or computer daily?

2) What is the positive and negative consequences of this investment?

3) How much time ideally would you love your kids to spending in front of the TV / computer on a daily / weekly basis.

4) What would be the benefits in this reduction for both you and your child?

5) What must you do to implement your ideal TV / computer schedule?

Indian Music Vs Western Music

[ad_1]

The Indian music characteristics are evident when you compare it with Western music. In both the systems you will find some essential differences: the Indian music is based on melody or single notes played in a given order, while the Western music is based on harmony: a group of notes known as chords played together.

Dr. Rabindranath Tagore who was well familiar with both the systems, explained the difference as follows: "The world by daylight stands for Western music which is a flowing concourse of vast harmony, composed of concord and discord and many disconnected fragments. And the night world stands for Indian music: one pure, deep and tender raga. Both, touches our heart, and yet both are contradictory in spirit. But this is natural. Nature, at the very root is divided into two, day and night, unity and variety, finite and infinite.

Indian men live in the realm of night; we are inspired by the sense of the One and Infinite. Indian music draws away the listener beyond the boundaries of daily joys and sorrows and takes us to the solitary space of renunciation which exists at the root of the universe, while Western music leads us to dance through a limitless rise and fall of human joy and grief.

" Indian classical music basically stirs our spiritual sense and discipline - a longing for realization of the self salvation. Singing is a worshipping act and not an intellectual exhibition of mastery on the technique of a raga. In Western culture, singing is a formal and secular exercise, and does not involve piety or devotion as compared to Indian music

The teacher-student (Guru-Shishya) tradition in Indian music is responsible for the deep dedication and attachment of the student to the teacher. In the West, a music teacher is taken as a hired person who teaches lessons and there is no deep attachment between the teacher and student.

Like Western music, Indian music too is based on melody and rhythm, but it has no foundation of harmony which is so significant in Western music. Indian music is "modal" - based on the relationship between the permanent individual notes known as tonic, with the successive notes. This is the reason why Tanpura (drone) is played in the background of Indian music which reminds one of the tonic notes.

The Indian classical music system is horizontal; one note follows the other, while the Western music is vertical; many notes played at a time. Yehudi Menuhin, the noted musician, highlights the differentiates both systems by describing Indian music as: "for appreciating Indian music one has to adopt totally a different set of values... one must orientate oneself and at least for the concerned period, forget the passing of time and just sink into a kind of thematic, almost hypnotic trance. The rhythmic and melodic features of Indian music that are repetitive, acquires an extraordinary charm and fascination... despite the domination of this hypnotic mood's domination, which is an Indian music characteristic, actively frees the mind."

The place of "composition" in these two systems is notably different. In Western music, the music is first composed by the composer and arranges it in notation: then the musicians play this composition under the guidance of a music conductor. Here improvisation hardly takes place, and the performance value lies in the uniformity and the pre-determined conduct of tone and music speed (tempo). In Indian music, while the melody grammar and rhythm is fixed, the ingenuity and skill of the musician lies in his creativity and improvisation, especially in mood evocation and rasa of a particular raga.

In this context, an international musicologist has written: "In the West, solid blocks of music are constructed. After carving out like building stones, the seven degrees of diatonic scale, lined up and placed on top of each other with cleverly worked out harmony and counterpoint. In this way fantastic edifices in sound are erected.

In Indian classical music, no one can think of dividing sound into blocks; instead it is refined into a wire-thin thread. The sound is stretched out to refine it to an extreme point of delicacy... No standard materials, no building of three or five floors, but just like silk thread which unfold and rises and falls and evokes a world of sensations and feelings."

In music of India, melody and rhythm offer a variety of subtleties, which is not possible in Western music. Indian notes are divided into units called shruties (22 microtones), whereas Western music consist of 12 semitones. The microtones are more subtle than semitones. These microtones adorned with gracetones (gamakas) create a magical effect.

Western music has the capacity of producing many feelings and moods. While Indian music, has the capacity to produce a principal emotion or a mood in a raga. An Indian musician improvises with his own creative genius within a raga's framework, but in Western classical music, except in jazz, such an improvisation is inconceivable. Moreover, the percussion in Indian music emphasizes its rhythm. It is only through keeping one's mind and ears open that one is able to appreciate the melodies and sequences different from one's own. This applies to Indian audiences attending Western music performances, and to Western audiences attending music of India concerts. Just remember that the both music systems are complementary, like two halves of classical music.

Tips for Organizing a Kid's Bedroom

[ad_1]

A kid's bedroom can be a challenging area of the home to keep organized, since it is often used as a play area as well as a sleep space. Not only do you have to store clothes, shoes, and other personal belongings, but sometimes items such as toys, sports equipment, hobby items, and school supplies.

The two problems to be addressed when tackling the clutter issue in a kid's room, are lack of floor space and lack of storage. Since most rooms for children are not really that large, it may seem that it's almost impossible to solve these two issues. However, you can easily open up more floor space for use in the room, while also providing areas to store all his or her stuff.

The first thing that must be done is actually jot down what you need to do so that you have a basic plan to follow. It's really easy to start a project like this and get bogged down in the details, so that nothing is actually accomplished. The best thing to do is to outline on a piece of paper what you will do and then do it!

The most obvious place to start, is to de-clutter the bedroom. Get rid of everything your child does not need, including personal items, toys and odds and ends.

Next, actually put things where they belong. If his hockey stick needs to be left in the garage, then put it there. If her roller blades and safety equipment are best left in the outdoor storage building, leave them there. Third, re-configure the closet organizational area.

You will be surprised at how much more storage space can be created by simply organizing a great closet system, even in a small closet. Go to your nearest hardware store, pick up some organizational shelving, hangers, or other items and create a well organized closet.

Finally, add at least one piece of storage furniture to the bedroom. In small bedrooms, you can often store everything in the closet and in one other piece of furniture designed for maximum storage. Utilizing furniture that is built for this purpose is a smart way to store things and can open up the floor space in the room.

An additional wardrobe is a good way to add the equivalent of an extra closet to the room. But if you want to really add superior storage to a kid's room, you can select a storage bed that is built for children and teens. This type of bed is built with drawers underneath the bed frame. A captain's bed is a favorite and can be found in any size you need as well as any drawer configuration you prefer.

There are also platform beds that offer excellent storage features. Some of these can be found that offer up to 14 drawers per bed. This makes it possible to remove all other furniture and simply store everything under the

bed. Beds with extra storage not only provide extra areas to organize things, but make it possible to open up more space space for a more comfortable bedroom area for your child.
